Looking to get out kayaking?
After spending somewhere between $500 and $5,000 on a kayak you're probably anxious to get out on the water. It's sometimes hard to find people to paddle with every time you've got the urge to hit the water, here's where we come in.
The Halifax Paddling Club invites you to come paddling with us every Monday evening this summer. The club is free of charge, we're just a group of people who love to paddle.
There are countless rugged bays and rocky inlets within 20 minutes of the HRM and we will be putting in at different close-by destinations every week. All skill levels are encouraged to join, the more the merrier.
If you don't have a boat, don't worry. Rentals are available at The Trail Shop and various other outfitters in and near the city. This is a great opportunity to get involved in the sport and meet people of varying skill levels.
The dates and locations of each group paddle will be listed on this site. We'll meet at the put-in at 6:15pm and be pulling out around 8:30pm, weather depending.
The first group paddle will be on the Northwest Arm, we'll be meeting at St. Mary's Boat Club at the end of Fairfield Rd., off of Jubilee. Check back often for upcoming paddles.
