Admittedly this is not a highly technical piece, but I don't often find myself in highly technical situations and so this is the jacket I wear most. With Nova Scotia's weather being constantly unpredictable in the precipitation and wind departments this jacket makes a lot of sense.
The Revolution can take on all wind and can easily shed light rains, this comes in handy in a province more famous for being constantly damp than developing killer monsoons. The Revolution is more breathable than a waterproof/breathable piece and, thanks to it's inner fleece layer, much more comfortable then your average shell. Unfortunately it is not a breathable as some more technical (and expensive) soft shells that fall into the same category. Level Six have, unfortunately, left off pit zips which could have virtually negated the lower level of breathability found in this jacket. When the heat picks up and the sun hits you may want to tuck it into your pack.
That being said, when you're outside during a cool spring, summer, or fall evening this is the ideal jacket to wear on your way to the club or the river. With a price tag of $100 it is really an incredibly versatile jacket.
