Directions:
Take Exit
11 to Glenholme from the 104 Highway,
turn onto Highway #2 and follow the road towards Parsboro arriving at Economy. There is a small building on the left showing where to find the trailhead. Take the dirt road opposite the building, and look for signs. This is the same road to Economy Falls. The Kenomee Canyon and Economy Falls trailhead is the last parking lot. If it has rained a lot you may have difficulty getting a 2WD vehicle to the end of this road.
Description:
To start the trail head down the road to the trail which starts out as an ATV trail. There are a couple of lookoffs over the Falls as you start out on the trail. This trail system is very well marked with reflective flags and signage. There are a few backcountry camp sites along this trail. There are a number of stream crossings and if it has rained recently you may get you feet wet, take sandals. This is a wilderness standard trail which means there are no bridges over the streams. There are two other waterfalls along this hike before you get back to Economy Falls. The first waterfall has a pool deep enough to swim in but the water is surprisingly cold. The second set of falls, also with a camp area is much less impressive and is better if it has rained a lot. I recommend spending one night on the trail and enjoying the waterfalls. Hang your food at night or place it in the Thunder Box (half an outhouse) wildlife is present. There are a few steep sections, stairs have been made with rocks in a few areas but these climbs can be challenging.
