Farimont Ridge Trail System

Directions:

Take exit 33 to Antigonish from Trans Canada Highway 104. Follow Church Street to Main Street in Antigonish, from there turn right and follow highway 337. Travel about 35km to the park entrance.

Description:

The Fairmont Ridge Hiking Trail System offers trails for both advanced hikers and walkers. Experienced hikers will like the challenge of the 370m (1200ft) of the full hike up steep ridges and into deep ravines. Those who don't want over a 1000 feet of climbing will appreciate that there are maps at every trail junction, and that you are never very far from one. There are many interconnected trails so you can make the hike up as you go, the longest route is 11km. The Fairmont Ridge trail system offers great views of Antigonish Harbour, St. George's Bay and Cape Breton from numerous locations along the route.
