Cape George


Directions:


Take exit 33 from Highway 104 to Antigonish. Follow Church St. to Main St and turn right on to Route 337. The park is about 35km down the 337.

Description:

There are mulitple trailheads: next to the warf at Ballentyne's Cove, Cape George Heritage School and Cape Point George Day-use Park.

The beatiful hills and 100 meter cliffs of Cape George extend out into the Northumberland Straight towards PEI making unique and picturesque hiking experience. At the tip of the point there is a red and white lighthouse making for a good photo opportunity.

The park contains a 33km network of trails if you've spent to much time enjoying the beaches in the area try the 1km lighthouse trail. If you are up for a full day hike you can link multiple trails.
