Directions:

Travel on Louisbourg Highway to Main a Dieu Road. take a right at the first intersection. Head towards Main a Dieu until you reach an intersection; turn right again. Go through Main a Dieu, turn left on Oceanview Drive, the trail starts on the right.

Description:

This trail offers up a nice slice of Cape Breton: woods, streams, rocky cliffs, barren. This trail follows to coast toward Loisbourg and some towns folk carry on the tradition of using this trail to travel between towns. This area was the first area inhabited in Cape Breton and therefore used by the French while they occupied Louisbourg. Today you are likely to see fisherman taking in thier nets as you hike.
