Beaver Mountain Provincial Park


Directions:


Take Exit 30 (James River) from Highway 104 and turn south. Take the first right and follow the signs to Beaver Mountian Provincail Park.

Description:

This 5km return hike offers a great view of Antigonish area. From the parking lot follow the road to your left and turn left at the first junction. The trail leads through a white spruce forest, crossing Cameron Brook near a beaver colony. At the brook the trail loops to the right and folows the brook upstream. The main trail continues up the hill through a hardwood forest exiting at some old farm fields. To return, turn left at the junction and retrace your path.

This trail is no longer maintained by the Department of Natural Resources due to funding cuts.
