This great soft shell jacket uses Polartec Powershield fabric to make a durable, stretchy, weather resistant jacket. The main reason to get a soft shell is to get a jacket that is water resistant and wind resistant but not lacking the breathability of a full waterproof rain coat.
The SV in the name stands for severe use and that is what I have been doing to mine for the last 4 years. I wear this jacket more than all of my other jackets, in windy damp conditions this jacket offers great fit and breathability with no reduction in freedom of movement. Like you would expect from a $360 soft shell this jacket will stand up to hours of bushwacking year after year but still be breathable enough for those chilly bike rides. |
